Dr. Martin C. Jischke, president of Purdue University in the U.S. state of Indiana, visited Tsinghua August 31.
Vice President Gong Ke met with Dr. Jischke, and they shared general information about their universities.
Vice President Gong and Dr. Jischke both stressed the importance of international cooperation. They also discussed cooperation between Purdue and Tsinghua.
After the talk, Dr. Jischke visited the Department of Industrial Engineering.
